Awful performance tonight.

Post by Tommy Cunningham »

I have to admit I thought we were very poor tonight, we didn’t deserve
anything from the game.

I couldn’t think of any positives from this performance, some absolutely woeful
performances from a majority of the players.

Injuries and some very poor refereeing obviously didn’t help our cause, but seeing
Clarke-Salter and Roberts injured again was very frustrating.

These guys have spent more time in the treatment room, than on the pitch
and history tells you they are both very injury prone players.

I never got carried away sitting at the top of the league, as I felt we were punching
well above our weight. But I do think Mick Beale needs to look at his team selection tonight,
our midfield were non existent and Dykes wasn’t at it tonight.

The hype around Sinclair Armstrong is exactly that, I thought tonight showed his technical
lack of ability.

We need a lift of Willock returning to the starting line up, as he is our only real
hope to score a goal.

Fair comment Tommy. Indeed sadly we were not at our best. Cant win them all.

Unfortunately for me the old chestnut raised its ugly head again last night...
Brum are really only an average team BUT like most of the teams in the championship
they have better strikers/forwards than us..not difficult.

The point is their front players always looked far more likely than us to score and when
the Peaky blinders got a chance they took it. Simple. Without any power up front you
cannot take the game to the opposition. Midfielders cant do it on their own.

It is absolutely vital we sign up a decent Championship standard forward :!:

Cheer up, it's not the end of the world.
Think how the poor old Reading fans feel - 5 mins ago they were top of the table,
then they lost a few, now they're all doom & gloom! :D
True, we've been punching above our weight.....now we're probably settling down
to our true position. Which won't be top, but something there or thereabouts.

Very scrappy at times, a physical Brum side didn't let us settle & disrupted
our play too easily.

Worrying that same players are getting knocks.

Missed penalty & should have been a red card for them but
overall not good enough....
