Unfortunately, due to illness, we had Kenneth Paal & Tim added to the
list of absentees yesterday.

Apparently we set up in a 4-3-3 formation but there was little evidence of
that to me

First-half in particular, we got ourselves bogged down in midfield.
Ethan Laird didn't look 100% fit as at times he struggled to track back.

Poor defending gave the home side their two goals but Seny made an outstanding
save to deny Gyokeres his hat-trick.

Our one & only shot on target was when Rob Dickie belted the ball from 25-yards
in the 2nd half which brought a superb save from the keeper.

I was surprised that Mick Beale made all those substitutions in a short space of time
in the closing stages. For me, Sinclair's pace might well have helped the situation
but it wasn't until the 83rd minute when he was brought on?

3,651 R's fans & it was good to bump into Steveqpr881 before kick-off.
Never known Coventry fans to be so loud....had some devious amplification
been secretly installed

With so many players unavailable & one goal in five games I have to say the break
couldn't have come at a better time.

It was a poor performance by the Rs.
1st half, we weren't in it all for 30 mins; 2nd half we started
OK but then dropped off.
Coventry wanted it more than we did, simple as.
And why were the substitutions made so late in the game??
A bit longer on the pitch & they might have made a difference.
A poor birthday present for young kerrins......still, at least he didn't waste
his time & money going to the game!

Still, it was good to bump into Steve R, Dave Thomas & the legend
that is Tommy Collins.

No three points birthday present for me. Why? I should be told.
Sort it out!

Looks like in recent games we have lost our organisation.

Once that goes and Willock and Chair stop performing miracles.....You are
left with the dross strikers no spearhead and total lack of firepower up front
to take the game to the opposition.

It is more than obvious that with a full, fully fit , squad we are worthy of
a top six finish.

Injuries have cruelly exposed the lack of replacements in the squad.
You would think some of these players would play out of their skin to
impress the manager. They either can’t be bothered or not good enough.
I suspect very much the latter.

We desperately need a replacement for Johansen and a forward capable
of occupying defences to give the likes of Willock and Chair space to weave
their magic.

January window will be critical for our season please do not waste it this time.

About 50/50 ESSEX, judging on that performance.
Especially in the first 30mins,it looked like we didn't have a clue what to do,
and didn't fancy doing it anyway. Very lacklustre, all round.
