Welcome to the R's Harrison...
From the Club...

'QPR’s ninth signing of the summer has arrived in the shape of Harrison Ashby.
The 22-year-old right-back comes to W12 following in the footsteps of Paul Nardi, Hevertton Santos,
Liam Morrison, Žan Celar, Jonathan Varane, Kader Dembélé, Koki Saito and Nicolas Madsen.

So what do we know about Ashby, who has joined the R’s on loan from Newcastle United for the duration of
the 2024/25 campaign?

Born in Milton Keynes, Ashby started his youth career with Chelsea before joining West Ham at the age of nine.

He spent a decade with the Hammers, signing his first pro contract ahead of the 2020/21 season when he was 18.

Ashby’s first-team debut came one month into the campaign on September 15th 2020 when he featured as a substitute
against Charlton Athletic in the second round of the League Cup, a match West Ham won 3-0.

He started the following round against Hull City seven days later and helped David Moyes’ side to a 5-1 victory.

In 2021/22, Ashby featured predominantly for West Ham’s Under-21s, which included one goal in three Football League
Trophy appearances, but he also made three further outings for the senior side.

He played the full game of the Hammers’ Europa League fixture with Dinamo Zagreb on December 9th 2021 before making
his Premier League bow six days later when he came off the bench at Arsenal.

A week later, Ashby was in the starting XI for West Ham’s League Cup tie at Tottenham.

The 2022/23 campaign would see Ashby leave West Ham in the January transfer window, joining Newcastle United on
Deadline Day.

Magpies boss Eddie Howe said at the time: “Harrison is a very talented young player with a lot of potential so we are
delighted to sign him.”

Seen as someone for the future, Ashby was loaned to Swansea City for the duration of the 2023/24 campaign.

On the international stage, Ashby has represented Scotland at U17, U19 and U21 level.

Now he is keen to continue his development in the blue and white hoops of QPR.'
