From the Club...
'THE CLUB would like to provide supporters with a further update on our players who are currently
working their way back to fitness.
The timeframes provided are subject to the players continuing on their current rehabilitation paths.
Unfortunately, Jake Clarke-Salter will have a period of time on the sidelines following a hip injury sustained
in training on Monday which requires surgery.
Steve Cook was sidelined by a foot injury sustained during our home fixture with Preston in December while
Liam Morrison suffered a muscular injury prior to our Boxing Day trip to Swansea City.
The pair have resumed full training and are available for this weekend’s fixture with Sheffield Wednesday at
MATRADE Loftus Road.
Lucas Andersen suffered an injury against Norwich at Carrow Road last month. The Dane is making good progress
and is due to resume full training in early February.
Kader Dembele has been progressing well following knee surgery in November and is taking positive steps towards
full fitness after completing the first phase of pitch rehabilitation. The attacker is on track to rejoin the squad
in the next 10 days with a view to being available for selection in mid-February.
Žan Celar has been sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained during our home fixture against Norwich in December.
The striker is now onto the second phase of his rehab following surgery and making steady progress. He is on course
to move to the next stage of his recovery on the training pitch by the middle of February and start his grass-based
progressions. Once this stage is achieved, a scheduled return to availability can be considered.
Ziyad Larkeche returned to Heston for his rehabilitation after suffering a hamstring injury in November while on loan
at Dundee. He has made a successful recovery and has now rejoined the Scottish Premiership side.'
