'QPR Development Squad's Premier League Cup fixture versus Blackburn Rovers Under-21s tonight (Friday)
has been postponed owing to a waterlogged pitch.
The two teams had been due to face each other in a 7pm kick-off at the Lancashire FA County Ground.
A new date for this game will be confirmed in due course.'

I am much obliged to you Steve for letting me know by text this morning. I guess a switch to an alternative
venue at the wilderness of the Blackburn Rovers training ground was not possible because there are no proper
floodlight facilities at this location. If it had been an early afternoon kick off perhaps so?
Lots of rain up here recently although dry yesterday. I notice that there are quite a number fixtures scheduled
at the FA County ground in the weeks ahead. Protecting the pitch?? I wonder
