There were two Millwall fans outside the away end collecting for a foundation
set up in memory of 16 year-old Schoolboy Jimmy Mizen who was murdered
in 2008.
This tragedy is commemorated annually by the Club since he tragically lost his
life in 2008.
As for the game, poor defending got us one down after 30 odd seconds!!
But Alfie Lloyd took his goal well after being set up by Kieran Morgan
just a couple of minutes later.
However Millwall regained the lead when a header wasn't dealt with & Paul Nardi
watched the ball bounce off the crossbar & then couldn't keep out the follow-up!!
John Busby let a number of blatant fouls go against R's players, particularly in
the 1st half.
The home side had the best of the half & most of their attacks came down the
left-flank. Is Kenneth Paal under instructions to leave a large gap out there much of
the time for Millwall to exploit??
We finally upped our game with 25mins or so remaining & had a number of very
good goalscoring opportunities to get the equaliser.
Yang Min-Hyeok came off the bench & looks a quality player.
Koki Saito did very well when he replaced Ilias Chair & really should start on Tuesday.
Great support from the 2007 R's fans ( of course)
Get well soon Marti.....
Re: Millwall Saturday....
It was an absolute certainty we would not score more than one goal in this encounter.
As I have said before we are not really a goal scoring side and in particular away from home against
a team with a solid defence that outcome was very predictable.
Shame we ended up pointless though.
