Oxford Last Night...

Post by Steve Russell »

Well done to Marti for getting his tactical changes right with a
depleted squad & against a side that have been superb at home
recently.

Instead of an isolated Michael Frey or Alfie Lloyd we had a high press
moving the ball quicker and the likes of Bennie, Smyth & Field getting
into forward positions.

Jonathan Varane superb 1st half & great to see him celebrating with
the R's fans at the end.

And what a time to get the 3rd goal after 11 added mins had gone up
:D :D

Rangers fans loud & proud.....

Saito back Saturday, Rayan Kolli should start & hope to see Emmerson Sutton
get on.

Yes a great performance and it shows what is achievable when Kerrins and ESSEXURs do not attend :D

I thought Field had a great game in a more forward position and for once we had more players forward in
that central position. Even Madsen had a good game and as you say Steve I thought Varane had one of his best
games for us.

Although not in his best position Bennie was everywhere and contributed much to our improved play.

The defence was excellent and the Edwards/Morrison partnership is growing with every game.

Sadly we will probably lose Edwards at the end of the season and if we also lose Cook and Dunne we will need
to start looking for replacements asap.

An unexpected but welcome result and all involved should take much credit for it.

Three goals on the score sheet
And we're still rolling along
Any Injury
Doesn't bother me
Things aren't bad
I'm not sad
And I'm singing a Happy song :) ;)
