That was Sweet!
Great atmosphere throughout, great celebrations at the final whistle.
Two excellent strikes in the 1st half.
Hounslow had a dangerous spell during the 2nd half but that Alex Wilkie header
at the Loft End put an end to that.
Daniel Bennie had a nasty injury but he still hobbled around with the other
players after the final whistle.
We clapped Paul Furlong, Paul Furlong clapped us.
Well done everyone.

Re: That was Sweet!
Various reports Hounslow didn’t shake hands at the end don’t know if true.
Was it the fear factor they reacted as they did?
You have to wonder how they are coached and pressure to win they are under.
Rs players looked relaxed, confident and playing with a smile which comes from excellent coaching
and a feeling that as long as you give everything it’s not a disgrace to lose. Looked to be excellent team spirit.
Old enough to remember and watch our excellent sixties South East Counties winning side. Look what happened
after their great season so hopefully history repeats itself!

Re: That was Sweet!
It was a great game & a great performance by the Rs, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
After a poor season by the 1st X1, I can't remember seeing us play so well -
in fact, I can't remember seeing us win!
We took the lead & never lost it - Bees looked a skilful enough side, but were very dirty.
When the 3rd goal went in, the Rangers fans went mad.....and the Brentford fans went home!!

What a win. What amazing scenes and what a massive crowd. Well done to the team.
I have said for a while (I have seen him play a few times) that McDowell is a cultured and class act.
So pleased for him in particular. Can we get a link on here posted up for the video scenes of the event.
Finally my thanks to Colin Essex U R's for keeping me updated via twitter(X) because I was not at the game

Re: That was Sweet!
We now need news we have appointed a new manager who believes in promoting young players.
We have slowly been doing it over the past couple of seasons but with this excellent crop of young players
there should be a master plan in place. We don’t want their potential being wasted, and, we certainly do not
want them being poached by the big clubs.
