2-1 up ht.

Celar hit the post on 9 mins.

They took the lead following a free kick after the ball was played in
from a wide free kick & the shot from the edge of box went in with Joe Walsh
rooted to the spot (unsighted?)

We equalised on 37 mins, with Celar pressurising the keeper,
Paul Smyth's cross may have gone straight in?

Celar gave us the lead from the penalty spot.

Jimmy Dunne was booked just before ht.

Thought we were better side 2nd half & deserved our 2-1 win.

Dembele had got cluttered a couple times in the 1st half
so Poku started after the interval.

55 mins Emmerson Sutton replaced Paul Smyth

Wholesale changes around 66 mins when Tuck, Pearman, Cook, Vale,
Adamson, Bennie, Larkeche & Charlie Kelman were all introduced.

Joe Walsh made a couple of good saves

2 bookings, Dunne 1st half, Pearman after the break

Chris Hewitt posted this on our Facebook group...

A great trip to France to see the preseason friendly against French Ligue 1 side Toulouse.

The game was played at Stade St Michel in Canet Village , home of Canet Roussillon FC ,just outside
the city of Perpignan. Its situated in the Occitania region , the southern most area of France which borders
Spain.

The ground was about two miles from the mediterranean sea resort of Canet en Roussillon.

I wont bore you with stats as everyone knows the score by now. I will say though that i was very impressed
with the second half performance as words must have been had by Julien Stephan and the players at half time.

In particular, Kwame Poku, Harvey Vale and Jaylan Pearman made very good first impressions on me. Paul Smyth
looks ready for the upcoming season and Alfie Tuck didnt look out of place in the first team as one of the youngest
players.

Estimates vary between 400-500 Rangers fans in attendance and we sang our hearts out all game. We heard our first
Julien Stephan song which was hilarious with two of the lines sung in French and the last line was in Anglo Saxon!

At half time there was a DJ and as the game ended someone got Laurent Allart to play High Ho Silver Lining!
Not too long after Pigbag made an appearance which had some serious audience participation as you could imagine.

Had a wonderful weekend in a beautiful part of the world in glorious weather. It was 38 degrees on Thursday and a mere
34 on the day of the game.
