'QPR are giving a trial to midfielder Dominic Gape.

The 28-year-old is without a club, having recently left R’s boss Gareth Ainsworth’s former
side Wycombe at the end of his contract.

He is therefore well known to Ainsworth, who is keen to sign at least one midfielder before
the start of the new season.

Gape will feature in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Reading this afternoon.'

Begovic, Kakay, Rendall, Dunne, Larkeche, Uncle Albert,
Duke-McKenna, Gape, Chair, Dykes, Kelman

And the subs....(deep breath)....

Walsh, Drewe, Hawkins, Woodman, Paal, Dixon-Bonner,
Pedder, Aoraha, Richards, Armstrong, Kargbo....

He recently had a trial with Stockport County so I am informed.

Doesn't sound like he's setting the football world on fire......

pre-season friendly.

Dominic Gape featured after West London Sport had earlier revealed that Rangers had taken
the midfielder on trial and that he would play in Tuesday’s game.

Gape, 28, is without a club, having recently left R’s boss Gareth Ainsworth’s former side Wycombe.

Asmir Begovic and Ziyad Larkeche also featured, but fellow recent signings Morgan Fox and
Paul Smyth were not involved. Neither was Chris Willock.

QPR will finish their pre-season campaign with a friendly at Oxford United on Saturday.'

Stockport County are not pursuing their interest in Dominic Gape my reliable sources
have confirmed.

I just e-mailed a WWFC-supporting friend, for his opinion on Gape.
He said that Gape is a good player, but very injury-prone; he only played
15 games in the last 2 seasons.
