Sad news from the Club...

'QPR have been saddened to learn of the passing of former forward Arthur Longbottom at the age
of 90.

Longbottom made a total of 212 appearances during a six-year spell with the R’s, scoring 67 goals
between 1955 and 1961.

The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Arthur’s family and friends at this time.'

May he Rest in Peace...

Arthur scored the first Rangers goal I ever saw. 1958 v Southampton
at Loftus Rd

Alan in Basingstoke told me that Arthur worked for a barber, Sid Lewis, in the
Norland Road area.

He later tested his skills on his team mates....
