First game - that infamous 'friendly' against Glasgow Rangers, when Rodney saw red.
I was a kid at the time & that was just my 2nd season at LR;
I was on holiday with the family & coming back that day, but we wouldn't get back to W6
in time for kick-off. I wanted to travel on m y own (we were only somewhere like Clacton, or Selesy),
by Mum wouldn't have it;
a) I was too young, she said, to travel on my own &
b) she didn't want me going to a match with 'all them Scottish hooligans.'
