News from the Club. Good luck to him......
CASEY Shann has signed a new deal at QPR.
The 20-year-old left-back joined the R’s in September 2023 after coming through at Tottenham before
spending time with Sutton United and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Shann become a regular in Paul Furlong’s Development Squad during 2023/24 before an injury curtailed
his progress.
As he works to overcome that challenge, he is eyeing the 2024/25 campaign with excitement.
“I am over the moon to extend my time here,” he said.
“I had the injury setback but I am working hard to be back as soon as possible and pre-season is definitely
the goal. I am back on the pitch now, I’m running and kicking footballs so I am getting closer all the time.”

Despite the disappointment of the injury, Shann has a positive mindset towards it and what the future holds.
“It was a hurdle,” he said, “but there are many hurdles in life and it was just one that I had to overcome.
“I was pleased with the progress I made prior to that set back and I feel that’s what has helped me get into the
position that I’m in with this new contract.
“Now I just have to make sure I push on.”
In recent weeks, the club have announced four new signings for the Development Squad with the arrivals of
Rohan Vaughan, Kieran Morgan, Daniel Bennie and Jack McDowell – and Shann admitted: “It’s exciting.
“You can see the club is looking to move forward and I am delighted to be a part of it.”
CEO Christian Nourry said: “The Development Squad and Academy staff speak highly of the work that Casey was
undertaking before his injury setback.
“With a myriad of new processes in place to support our athletes from a physical performance perspective, we
are confident in being able to give Casey the opportunity to make up for lost time and impose himself.”
