Willock gone to Cardiff
Post on the QPR Official by the CEO Mr. Nourry basically saying good riddance and don't let the door hit you on the way out.
This club is changing for the better, and long may it continue.

Hardly a "step up" that is it?

A great career move - not.
At least QPR will not be hamstrung by him any more

Re: Willock gone to Cardiff
I recommend that everyone should read Nourry's statement on Willock's departure.
This guy is clearly not to be messed with, and sends a strong message as to how the club is now being run.

Yes Bill wonderfully worded and so true. Hopefully the days of giving in to players who then think they can play
in a half hearted way are long gone.
Apart from the injury will we ever know why he just faded away from his form of his first games?
He will probably do the same at Cardiff.

Got a text with the news whilst on the school run...
Interesting comment from Christian Nourry Bill...
From the Club....
'QPR can confirm Chris Willock has left the club following the expiry of his contract.
The club have been in discussions with the 26-year-old regarding extending his stay in W12 but were unable
to reach an agreement with the former Benfica man.
CEO Christian Nourry said: “On behalf of the football club I want to thank Chrissy for his contributions during his time
with us.
“It is no secret that, as a club, we would have liked to have found a way to continue the adventure with him.
After several months of talks, Chris has decided to go in another direction.
“Whilst we are disappointed not to see him continuing with us, it is important that we have players in the building who
we know are all-in on being a QPR player, committed to the club’s game model and the work that Marti and Xavi and
the rest of the coaching staff are undertaking.
“Most importantly, we need individuals who are as convinced and excited about the project that the club is now building
as we are, whilst respecting budgetary constraints.
“We wish Chris well for the future and thank him for four years of excellent service.”
Willock made 144 appearances for the R’s in all competitions, scoring 20 goals.'

Re: Willock gone to Cardiff
The bit I find annoying is the fact that he decided to put some effort into his play near the end of the season
presumably hoping we would take the bait.
Thank God that was ignored and the “negotiations” were on the basis of his couldn’t care less performances.

Re: Willock gone to Cardiff
Absolutely no loss to the club at all, he was inconsistent, injury prone and thought he was a lot better than he is.
The main thing we as supporters need to accept is, he didn’t want to be at QPR anymore.
The lack of interest in him must have shocked him and his agent, when the highest bidder they got was Cardiff City
it says everything about Chris Willock. Hardly an ambitious career move is it ?
Well done Christian Nourry on standing your ground, with a bang average footballer trying to hold QPR to ransom.
Chris Willock good luck and good riddance, you won’t be missed.
