Steve Quashie now Technical Lead...what is that????
From the Club...
'DANNY Harrigan has been appointed head coach of QPR FC Women, replacing Steve Quashie who has become
Women and Girls technical lead.
Harrigan worked with QPR Girls between 2011 and 2013 and was the Women’s reserve manager for two years
before leaving in 2019 to become first team manager of Actonians LFC, where he remained for four years.
He spent the second half of last season as first team coach with Wycombe Wanderers Women.
“I’m really pleased,” Harrigan said. “This has always been an ambition of mine.
“QPR Women has moved under the umbrella of the club now so it is about changing the mentality of the group.
“The club wants to create an elite pathway for the girls coming through, and bringing the Women to Heston for
training completely changes everything. That is a big statement from the club.
“A lot of people behind the scenes have been pushing for this. Now that we have it, it is up to us to make the most
of the opportunity.
“I am really looking forward to it.”
QPR CEO Christian Nourry said: “We are delighted to appoint Danny as the new head coach.
“Danny has a strong connection with the club, is a familiar face to many and understands our ambitions.
“He joins with a wealth of experience in the women’s game, and his extensive network is already helping to shape our
staff and player structure.
“The appointment comes at an exciting time of transition and alignment, as we continue to evolve and develop.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank Steve Quashie who has helped to lead the team in previous seasons, and will
remain involved as part of the technical staff.”
