A team full of dross that will get us relegated

I don’t believe that any QPR supporter witnessing that game today, could take any positives from a woefully inept
and spineless performance. I know fingers will be pointed at Fox for his two mistakes that led to their goals, but Fox
should be nowhere near a QPR starting eleven. Fox is not alone as the likes of Madsen, Field, Frey, Andersen, Celar
and Varane and others have all been poor this season.
We cannot possibly have that amount of players in a squad, either underperforming or completely out of their depth at
Championship level. The recruitment has once again been disastrous and Marti Cifuentes, is beginning to sound more like
David Brent as the weeks go by.
Christian Nourry or the board has made a reckless decision in extending Marti Cifuentes contract, it was far too early
in the season to make this call and it is beginning to look like a very poor decision. Cifuentes has got very little right so
far this season,
I am beginning to doubt his capabilities of turning our fortunes around. His CV hardly makes for great reading, a spell
in Denmark and a spell in Sweden being the highlights.
The next 2 games are absolutely crucial for Marti Cifuentes, supporters are looking for improvement but unfortunately they
are unlikely to see any with this manager and squad of players.

Attended the game today with Young Kerrins. We certainly know how to pick them!
I think as we attend only three or so matches at home a season we tend to chose games we have a faint hope of
winning. How delusional we are!
I was reminded of the usual ‘strangers display’ experience for cup games where the usual selection of also rans
are trotted out.
They today didn’t remotely look or play like a team compared to the less talented and very ordinary opposition.
Awful in defence with Fox doing his best to not play again this season, we really do miss JCS, and the usual
non existent midfield and clueless attack was on show.
Did we really sign Cellar and Madsen?!!
On this showing I hold out no hope of a reversal of form on Tuesday and the love affair with MC will be tested.
Boos at full time reflected the fans feeling and Nourry hopefully took note.

Gareth Ainsworth kept us in the Championship the season before last, at the start of last season he was not
supported in the same way Cifuentes has been backed this season.
Another poor start led to calls for Ainsworth to be sacked last season and the board duly obliged and sacked him,
if you compare Ainsworth’s results last season to Cifuentes results this season you will find they are very similar.
Yet Ainsworth was dismissed and shown the door, Cifuentes is rewarded with an extension to his contract.
Christian Nourry has displayed a serious lack of experience in his role of CEO at QPR, knowing the world of professional
football, professional footballers and players agents is totally different to any other industry. It is still early days in his tenure,
but given the start we have had the signs are not good.
We have some very tough fixtures coming up and I don’t feel confident, that this manager and this squad of players can turn our
fortunes around.
The next month could see us adrift at the bottom of the Championship, also looking for yet another manager to perform miracles.

I got the feeling yesterday it was a mainly collective failure to perform which suggests either the players do not
like the system being played or the manager has lost the team.
Lloyd seems to be out of favour with Kolli (his probably self inflicted by all accounts) banished as well.
On the plus side Morgan had a good game.
MC seems determined to play the likes of Ashby, Madsen and Celar seemingly blind to their performances.
We have seen these collective team performances with previous managers and the inevitable follows.

That was a telling test with the task to not go bottom through a match playing the team starting the
game at bottom.
Any fire in the belly and urgency to secure a win should have been on display in what should have been the
kickstarter out of a losing run.
To have been a goal up and lose to two unforced goals was a disappointment.
The penalty could have been wholly avoided and there was a Smyth low cross that someone should have been able to
be on the end of. Plus Chair’s one-on-one dinked shot was a sterling goal opportunity. We didn’t take what was easily
there to take and didn’t create enough chances to avoid being punished for missing the few that could have been goals.
The anticipated competitive campaign based on the end run to last season has not followed through. We need to see pace
and fight in our game. Too tame over the last run of games.

Conor I agree with all you have said on Saturday’s performance, but can you imagine any of our supporters
6/7 weeks ago thinking this season would have been as disastrous as it has been so far.
A manager that has no idea what his best lineup is, an obsession with playing as many players as he can at
right back.
Some talk of him losing the dressing room already so early in the season, same old dribble coming out after games
such as “we must work harder” or “we will get better “. There has been no evidence to think this will be the case
so far this season, the reason in my opinion is the level of players recruited by the club has been appalling.
Other than Dembele who is an extremely talented footballer, the rest have been very poor signings.
I think Steve Cook even alluded to it after the game on Saturday, when he said it was a lack of quality in the team and not effort.
Make no mistake we are gonna continue to struggle with this squad of players, the majority are a group of individuals who are
weak both mentally and physically.
Maybe they are struggling to implement the playing style Marti Cifuentes insists on playing, whether they are good enough to do
this only Cifuentes knows.
But one thing is for sure something has to change very soon, the boos rang out at the end of the game on Saturday and I fear they
will be returning sooner rather than later.

Colin, you have often said that you & kerrins are jinxes......but let's face it, the team doesn't need any excuses to blame their losses on!
Mind you, in terms of picking a game "we have a faint hope of winning" - they were bottom of the league & hadn't won a game this season,
so any long-term Rs fan could have seen what was going to happen, shurely??

It's deja-vu all over again.
Could the answer, perhaps, be to stick with a manager a bit longer than we have in recent seasons?
I don't know - only time will tell.

We returned to Loftus Road on Saturday & nothing had changed!!!
Well, not quite true, the boos that rang out were louder.
I wrote this earlier in the month after the Derby game....
'Derby are not a very good side but when they attacked it was like a knife
cutting through butter!!
The way we try to play is all too predictable & I do wonder whether Marti knows what his potential
starting X1 is or will he continue with experimental rotation?'

It's high time he knew his starting X1 !
