Lost 1-2 earlier today. From the Club...
'
LIAM Morrison played over an hour for QPR Development Squad in a behind-closed-doors friendly against
Crystal Palace Under-21s at TSG Training Centre on Friday.
Lorent Talla was also among the R's starters and came through 45 minutes unscathed following his recent spell
on the sidelines.
In a well-fought encounter, both teams had chances in the first half.
However, it was the visitors who took the lead on the stroke of half-time after a rasping 20-yard drive left Rangers'
trialist goalkeeper with little chance.
Paul Furlong's side levelled matters 10 minutes into the closing period through Kieran Petrie, who raced onto Rocco Friel's
cutting through pass before producing a calm finish.
Rangers enjoyed plenty of time on the ball after Palace were subsequently reduced to 10 men - but couldn't find a
second goal and were instead undone on the counter attack. The visitors struck again 11 minutes from time following
an excellent finish on the angle.
Furlong told www.qpr.co.uk: "It was a very beneficial test for us given who Palace were able to put out, with players who
have made debuts in the Premier League.
"We didn't win the game but lots of learning was taken from it - and it was really good for the likes of Liam (Morrison) and
Lorent (Talla) to get minutes under their belts. They both did well."
QPR: Trialist A, Friel, Morrison (McDowell 67), McCann (Shann 67), Leahy, Talla (Neill 46), Tarbotton, Petrie, Murphy,
Lloyd (Putman 67), Trialist B (Hassan 67).'
