Kieran Morgan Signs a New Deal.....

Post by Steve Russell »

Excellent news from the Club...

'KIERAN Morgan has signed a new long-term contract at the club.
The 18-year-old midfielder only joined QPR in the summer but has earned a new deal following a string of
impressive performances since his debut against Portsmouth in October.

After penning the new deal in front of his family at MATRADE Loftus Road, Morgan said: “Obviously I am really happy.
“It has gone quite quick and I just want to say thank you to all the staff, fans and players that have welcomed me.
I have to keep pushing now. This is only the start.”

Morgan has made 17 appearances for QPR in all competitions since his professional debut against Pompey, and scored
his first senior goal in our 1-1 draw with Coventry.

“With opportunities that have come around I have taken them, and that’s credit to the staff that have trusted me,
and the players,” he said.

“I have faith and belief in myself. I think I have shown on the pitch I am doing quite well. I am playing with confidence
and freely, and I have got to keep playing like that.”

Morgan has quickly become a fans’ favourite in W12, and the support of the R’s faithful certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed.

“The fans have shown me their support, and when we get on the pitch you want to pay them back because they are
paying money to come and watch, so you are giving everything you can for them,” he explained.

“Ever since I have come in, I have felt at home straight away. My family have said that as well, when they come and
watch there is a family feel.

“You have got to feel good off the pitch to play well on the pitch, and I think I have shown that.”

Looking to the future, Morgan said: “I want to carry on playing how I have been, and try to start as many games as I can.

“But it’s one game at a time, one training session at a time. I can’t look too far ahead because that’s when you can
get caught up.”

CEO Christian Nourry said: “We are delighted to reward Kieran with a new contract today.

“Kieran’s focus, hard work and humility, as well as his understanding that every day is a new start, have been the
ingredients driving his progress to date.

“These are values that we, as a football club, identify with immensely.

“His decision to commit himself to QPR on a long-term basis is the latest endorsement of this football club being the
right place for bright young talent to develop and improve.”
