Finally confirmed from the Club...
Good luck & welcome to all our new arrivals...
'HARVEY Vale has joined QPR for an undisclosed fee, completing a permanent move from Chelsea.
The versatile attacker has agreed a long-term contract in W12.
The 21-year-old is currently sidelined through injury and will not be available to play this season. He will now
continue his rehab at QPR in preparation for the 2025/26 campaign.
Vale, who began his academy football with Fulham before moving to Stamford Bridge as an Under-13, is excited
about starting a new chapter of his career with Rangers.
“I am buzzing,” he said. “As soon as I heard QPR were interested I wanted to get to know more. I am really excited
and so happy it got over the line.”
Vale, who has represented England at all youth levels from Under-15 through to Under-20, spent last season on loan
at Bristol Rovers, which followed a period with Hull City in 2022/23.
Explaining why he made the decision to complete a permanent switch after nine years with Chelsea, he said:
“I feel like I need a home, I need a place to settle, I need a place to grow. That’s why I thought it was the right time.
“If I kept going on loan, you get into that cycle and you don’t really settle and find a home. Now hopefully here I have
found that home.”
Vale, who can play anywhere across the midfield, made 47 outings for the Pirates in all competitions last term, which
whet his appetite for more.
“That is what kick-started this January window,” he revealed. “Playing in front of fans every week, making that
connection, fighting for three points, getting yourself up the league, it is so good and I am so excited to get going.”
Vale has shown great versatility in his short career to date, and he explained: “I would say in that attacking line is my
best position, off the right, in a 10.
“I have played everywhere but I see myself at the front end of the pitch, helping the team score, create, assisting goals.”
QPR beat off a lot of interest to secure Vale’s signature, and Chelsea’s '21/22 academy player of the year revealed
what attracted him to Rangers.
“It’s the footballing project, the people that work within that, everybody from top to bottom of the club,” he said.
“You have to make sure it aligns with me and what I wanted, and I felt it did that.”
Now Vale is keen to continue his development in the blue and white hoops.
“On a personal level, I need to get playing games, that’s the goal for me – and to prove to the fans why the club
trusted to bring me here,” he said.
CEO Christian Nourry added: "We are delighted that Harvey has chosen to make the next step in his career at
Queen's Park Rangers.
"His engine, high technical quality and vision, as well as his leadership qualities, make him an exciting signing for
the football club."
