Marti Cifuentes has lost the plot

When I saw the team line up for yesterday’s game, I honestly thought what on earth is Marti Cifuentes doing.
We were playing away to WBA one of the most physical teams in the Championship, yet our manager selects one
of the weakest teams we have fielded all season. To say we were weak, timid and passive would be a massive
understatement, with only Cook, Colback and Dunne capable of making a tackle.
To make matters worse Steve Cook has been very poor this season, in fact I make him culpable for a number of goals
scored against us. In my opinion he should have been dropped before now his legs have gone and he is struggling,
we have cover in that position now and there needs to be a change in my view.
WBA played the whole of the second half with 10 players, yet we didn’t register a shot on target until something like
the 88th minute.
The nearest thing we had to anything resembling a striker in the squad Alfie Lloyd was sat on the bench, absolute
madness setting the team up like that.
We are on another horrendous run with some more very difficult games coming up, Marti Cifuentes has some big decisions
to make in the coming weeks.
Yesterday’s performance was unacceptable on all levels and a lot of the blame has to
directed at Cifuentes, the credit he has with supporters won’t last forever and we desperately need a win.
