That's the KUTRs guy, not the ex-player.
Dave has been in hospital recently (I don't know why),
but he's just been discharged & is due some tests.

News to me. Nobody in the Manchester R's has mentioned this before. He lives less than
six miles from me.

Latest news - I've just had an email from Dave, he says he was in hospital for 10 days with an infected gallbladder,
infected blood, sepsis, stomach bleeding & dangerously high blood sugar levels. 
He also vomited 30 or 40 times in a 36-hour period.
As we know, he's been out & recuperating at home for a while now, but isn't yet fit to make the trip to LR.
I spoke to Julie Evans, one of the KUTRs sellers, on Monday & the current issue will be the last this season -
Dave just isn't up to putting one last issue together.

Martin Beattie told me on Monday that Dave drove to Preston
& is hoping to get to the Burnley game...

I got a thank you note from Dave for the Go fund me contribution.
I really had not appreciated how seriously ill he was! Awful! lets hope he soon makes a proper recovery

We'll see if Dave is well enough to get to LR tomorrow - although the 12.30 kick off
means he'll have to leave home even earlier than usual. I hope he can make it,
it'd be good to see him again.

Well, Dave was lucky enough to miss the Burnley game....just as well, it would have given him a relapse!
