Time for a clear out at QPR

I thought last night’s performance and result were outstanding, players putting a shift in all over
the park and a fantastic away support driving the team on. Players introduced from the bench also
contributed to a great away result, a result against a team that had beaten Watford and Sheffield United
in their last 2 home games.

The time of year has arrived when decisions have to be made, on players either remaining or departing
QPR this summer.

I think we will be saying goodbye to Dunne and Paal, they are both out of contract and will be free agents.
Dunne wanted out in January to join Sheffield United, fortunately the club blocked any move and they done
the right thing in my opinion.

Cook, Fox, Frey, Colback and Andersen are all out of contract this summer, the time has come for these players
to depart QPR. They have all had their injury problems and are all the wrong side of thirty years old, we need
younger players recruited and the squad needs a better balance than it currently has.

Last night we had a goalkeeper, 4 defenders and 6 midfielders, not a striker in sight and surely we are a better
club than that.

Yang, Edwards, Saito and Ashby will return to their parent clubs, although there could be a possibility for Saito
to sign a permanent deal.

Yang is highly thought of at Tottenham.
Edwards would be well out of our price range.
Saito could be within our price range.
Ashby’s loan hasn’t been a success so a return to Newcastle is best for both parties.

Kolli is being linked with a move to France or Saudi Arabia, if the club can get the right deal then they should
sell him.

Ilias Chair has been a great servant, but the time has come to move him on.

JCS is just a player who is never fit, the few times he’s played he has shown there is a player there. Time to move him
on if possible.

A lot of big decisions to be made this summer, both contract and recruitment wise.

I know many reading this won’t agree which is their prerogative, but we now have a great opportunity to rebuild the
squad.

Some good points, Tommy.
Yes, we'll lose some players that we want to keep, and probably end up stuck with some we'd rather lose.
A deal for Saito would be my No. 1 hope, he could be our next star player
.....as well as the elusive 20 goal a season man
;)

More wholesale changes in the summer, some welcome, others not so.

Hopefully we will eventually get to the point when we can build a side.

Two things would help

a. Make sure all incomings have a proper medical.
b. The sale of Eze would boost our ability to acquire players.

I will be sorry to see Edwards go but it is inevitable but he is the age of player we should start looking
for in the lower divisions.
I also would keep Saito.

I like Chair but we are a quicker side without him and his best days were with Willock.

Any injury prone players should not be retained and we should start looking at our Development Squad players
in the final few games of the season. If we don’t play them what is the point of having them?

I should have added that it was pleasing to see the clear out did not extend to certain supporters
having an unwelcome influence on our performances and results!
