Loftus Road rated as one of EFL's Top 20 stadiums!

Post by steveqpr881 »

Daily Mail journalist Oliver Holt has finished visiting all 92 Clubs in the EFL, and has rated the stadiums.
Just in the Top 20, at No. 19, is our own Loftus Road, one ahead of Stamford Bridge.

In the words of Victor Meldrew. I don't believe it :o

Did he actually sit in any one of the seats? Did he describe the view of the pitch from any vantage point?
Perhaps he just went inside a directors box when the stadium was empty. Even then I doubt he would still
have got a proper view.

We have the worst viewing and worst comfort of all the teams in the Premiership and Championship plus a few in
leagues one and two as well. End of

Maybe he just based his opinion on the luxury of the W12 Club facilities :?: Top twenty my arse :!:

Obviously we got where we are in the list based on being close to the players and atmosphere.
As you say Kerrins no mention of cramped seating, restricted views and poor eating/drinking facilities in the ground.
I live in Colchester now and have visited their new stadium on a couple of occasions for Rs matches.

I know which stadium I prefer as you have uninterrupted views, seating you can stay seated in if someone needs to
walk past you and plenty of spectator areas under the stands. That’s the model we need and how Gregory got away
with the standards implemented I do not know.

Well, a good part of the reason for our high rating is that he hates modern, soulless stadia -
e.g., Southampton, Coventry - they both get a mention on that score.

It would be interesting to know what out capacity would be if the stands had been erected to the
modern standards and requirements.

Oliver Holt is a Hobbit I reckon ;)

Anyway in those modern so called soul less stadiums you can get a 100% view of the pitch and its not cramped
like the Black hole of Calcutta
