Kaleb Dyke's Signing Confirmed...

Post by Steve Russell »

Did well when I saw him as a trialist & scored a very good goal against Brentford.
Good news from the Club...

QPR are delighted to confirm the signing of Kaleb Dyke, who will officially join the club on 1st July
following his departure from Leicester City.

The central midfielder, who will initially join up with the club’s Development Squad, arrives following
a successful month’s trial with the R’s.

The 18-year-old comes to QPR after being with the Foxes from the age of seven and he is relishing the chance
to continue his journey in west London.

“This is exciting,” he said. “It’s a new opportunity, something I can really dig into, something I can just attack
and basically try to make my mark.

“I have really enjoyed my short time here already. It's been fantastic.”

Dyke admits the feeling he got from being around the club’s TSG Training Centre helped him decide this was the right
move as he looks to make the next step in his career.

“For me, the right club is the one with the pathway, the pathway into the first team,” he said, “and then it’s the facilities
and the overall feeling of the club.

“The feeling for me here was very positive from the start – the pathway’s amazing, you can see players going into
the first team, so it was a no-brainer.”

Expanding on ‘the feeling’ he references, Dyke explained: “As soon as you walk in at the training ground,
everyone's smiling, everyone's saying hello.

“Then when I met the other boys, they were integrating me straight away, it's just a really positive feeling.”

Describing himself as a player, Dyke explained: “I have energy, I can win the ball back, I can get the ball going
and I want the ball as much as I can, to get the team moving forwards.”

Dyke, who started all 19 league games for Leicester City’s U18s before joining up with QPR, is now fully-focused
on a new beginning.

QPR CEO Christian Nourry said: “Kaleb is a natural leader who, despite his young age, possesses maturity
and nous that allows him to play through Zones 1 and 2.

“He has a sound technical and tactical base which stands him in good stead for further development.”
