I have just come across this news article online written for the French newspaper Le Parisien dated 17 June 2025.

Julien Stephan's arrival at Queens Park Rangers is soon to be made official.

It has been almost 10 days since it was reported that there were advanced contacts between Julien Stephan,
free since his departure from Rennes in November 2024, and Queens Park Rangers, 15th in the Championship (English D2).

Since then, discussions have continued to move in the right direction, so much so that as of today (17 June) nothing
seems to stand in the way of official agreement. "Were in the home straight" we are told.

According to our information, the English club is just waiting to finalize the break with the former coach , the Spaniard
Marti Cifuentes, before making the arrival of the 44 year old French technicien. official.

This will be Stephan's 3rd club as head coach after Rennes (twice) and Strasbourg. With the Bretons he won the 2009
Coup de France against PSG.

Please don't shoot the messenger, just thought it would be interesting to get a French perceptive on the situation.

Totally underwhelmed to say the least.

Marti Cifuentes had to depart in my view, speaking to other clubs whilst under contract to QPR was unacceptable.

But this appointment beggars belief, far better candidates out there than the unknown who has been appointed.

We will probably be looking for another manager around November/December time.

Christian Nourry is clueless.

Mr. Kerrins, I am regretfully going to have to decline your kind offer of a duet after discussions with my agent :(

However, how about an Elvis song which I feel would be more appropriate - "IT'S NOW OR NEVER" !!

Any other suggestions will be carefully vetted :)

As that report was in a French newspaper, I'm surprised they didn't refer to us
"Les Rangeurs du Parc de La Reine." That is your actual French.
:D

From Dave Mc yesterday...

'Meanwhile, new head coach Julien Stephan is set to be joined at QPR by Alou Diarra.'
