As expected. Good luck to him......
From the Club...
JAYLAN Pearman will join QPR from Perth Glory on July 1st following the expiration of his contract with the #
A-League side.
The midfielder will initially link up with our Development Squad.
Pearman was part of the Australia side crowned Asian U20 champions in February and arrives in W12 after a whirlwind
2025 so far for both club and country.
Speaking after signing, he said: “It feels amazing. It’s a lifelong dream to play in Europe, so it’s exciting to be here.
“QPR are well-known for bringing in and bringing through young players, so it’s a good pathway for me in terms of any
other club I could have gone to.
“It’s the right choice to come here.”
Pearman only made his senior debut in January but fast established himself as an A-League regular.
The attack-minded youngster went on to make 12 appearances and score four goals during a standout first season
which saw him named Glory’s Young Player of the Year.
He admitted: “At the start of the season I don’t think it even crossed my mind for anything like this to happen.
“Then January came and after my debut I was starting straight away. I hit the ground running really quickly and I’m
very happy with how it went.”
The 19-year-old departs Perth a decade after joining the club and follows in the footsteps of fellow former Glory
academy product Daniel Bennie, who made the same move 12 months ago.
The pair were re-united in China for the U20 Asian Cup triumph and Pearman is grateful for Bennie’s part in
his decision to join him again, adding: “I was on the phone to him almost every day after I found out about the
possibility of coming here!
“He was very excited for me to come and his opinion helped make the decision as well.”
Pearman, whose father’s family hails from London, explained how the family feel of QPR was a key component
behind choosing the English capital as his next destination.
“I think with my family’s background and Daniel being here as well, it helps a lot having people you know, especially
moving away from home,” he said.
“And what QPR showed me, it appealed to me the most out of anything.
“I know it’s a family club and everyone’s really close which appealed to me the most as someone who’s also very
family-orientated.
“I’m really excited and can’t wait to get started.”
CEO Christian Nourry said: “Jaylan is a rare profile of 8/10, with a capacity to regularly get highly-accurate shots off
whilst having very small pockets of space to operate in.
“Fans can expect an all-action midfield talent who is constantly on the move.
“Widely considered as the stand-out breakthrough talent from the 2024/25 A-League season, I believe – like with every
young player – Jaylan will need to be afforded time and patience as he adapts to his new surroundings and the physicality
required to succeed in English football."
This transfer is subject to international clearance.'
