Good luck to her. News from then Club....
QPR FC Women are pleased to confirm the signing of attacking midfielder Abbie Morris.
The 23-year-old arrives following four years in the US, studying and representing East Central University.
Previously, she has also represented AFC Wimbledon and Actonians, the latter under current R's head coach
Danny Harrigan.
"I'm very excited to see what we can achieve together this season," Abbie told us.
"I was very impressed with the setup here - even compared to what I had in America. You can see that they've really
tried to boost the women's side of the club.
"I grew up watching a lot of football - QPR is a big club in London and I'm happy to be playing here now.
"The team built a base last season and has a good core. Adding in a few players, I think we can be really successful
and push on."
Discussing her four years in America – as well as what she’ll add to the team – Abbie explained: "It was a very good
experience. They focus a lot more on the physical side of the sport and it taught me a lot. Now I'm ready to use that back
here.
"I'd like to say I'm skilful, composed on the ball, and I like to create and attack."
And her aims for the forthcoming campaign?
"Win the league,” Abbie said. "Together, we want to try to make it a good season – a winning season."
QPR CEO Christian Nourry commented: “Abbie returns from an intense four years in the US, and we are delighted that she
has accepted our offer to return to English senior women’s football here at QPR.
"While at East Central University, Abbie racked up a number of accolades. We hope that the individual development and
support we can offer Abbie will only accelerate her success on the pitch as she settles back into life in England."
