Welcome & good luck Melis....
News from the Offy site...

'QPR are delighted to confirm Melis Mehmet has joined our Women’s team ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Mehmet comes to the club after three seasons with Watford, two in the Southern Premier Division and one
in the Championship.

Prior to her time with the Golden Girls, Mehmet spent 11 years with Women’s Super League giants Arsenal.

She arrives in West London with an ambitious mindset and keen to make an impact with the R’s

“I know the team want to do well and succeed and that’s what attracted me,” Mehmet said, having spent her
entire career playing at a higher level than the fourth tier QPR currently occupy.

“I feel like it's always good for a team to have ambition - QPR want to keep moving up the ranks and hopefully
I can help them do that.”

The attacking midfielder admits the feeling within the R’s training ground was also a draw for her.

“You look at the facilities, honestly, you cannot complain about it at all,” she said.

“The Men’s team are here too and it's very inclusive. It's not separated between the Men and the Women, which
you can find in quite a few teams.”

Mehmet has clear targets for the new season as she overcomes recent injury challenges.

“I want to get as much game time as I can, build my confidence and hopefully get the team to where they want to
be,” she explained.

“I’m very, very excited.”

CEO Christian Nourry said: “Melis is a technically-gifted player, and one that will excite fans on the pitch with her
attacking, dynamic style. She has had an incredible journey so far and we hope to continue that trajectory, developing
her with QPR."

“Melis has got an ambition to be the best that she can be, and everyone at QPR is excited to support her with that and
watch her flourish.”
