With Austin and Gray departed and Dykes not scoring we have placed ourselves yet again in the proverbial as far as goalscoring is concerned.If we couldn’t find a goalscoring forward last season what hope have we got for the coming season.
It’s not as if we have prolific goal scorers coming through from the other teams.
Kelman and Bonne have hardly been prolific in their loan spells.
Whoever takes over has a big problem to solve and he will also need a system that at least gives a centre forward a chance to score. We will also need a long needed injection of pace in our attack.

Sinclair Armstrong is one I hope will break into the squad.
He also has pace....

A heavy weight to put on his young shoulders but at least he is a relatively unknown factor for the opposition.
Our obsession with midfielders has cost us.

If its goals we need its been obvious to me from the start of the season that Thomas is not the answer. Why was he selected ahead of Austin and Gray in several recent games?

I know I am sometimes prone to the sweeping statement but I reckon waiting for him to score is like waiting for Godot.

Do you mean that there are long, dull spells where nothing happens?
A bit like some of our games after we've conceded!
