Told that the Women's side defeated Herne Bay 8-0 in a friendly
at Heston earlier today.
Well done to them...

Re: 8-0 Win for the QPR Women Earlier Today....
Report from the Club....
'QPR Women kicked off their pre-season campaign in emphatic style with a 9-0 win over Herne Bay at the
TSG Training Centre on Sunday afternoon.
The R’s played the same opposition in the FA Cup last season, winning 2-1 on that occasion, but it was a much
more one-sided affair this time around.
QPR led 4-0 at the break and carried on where they left off in the second half, which was played under a downpour.
Despite the adverse weather conditions, the R’s produced some excellent football and proved too much for their
sixth-tier opposition.
Aya El-Bergui opened the scoring in the fourth minute with an excellent long-range effort from the left, and that
lead was doubled in the seventh minute when Natalia Makowska broke down the right to pull the ball back for the
waiting Grace Stanley to divert into the back of the net.
Two minutes later, Stanley grabbed her second of the afternoon with another well-taken strike after good work by
Lexi Reid on the left.
Danny Harrigan’s side made it 4-0 when Makowska slotted into the bottom corner after the full-back was brilliantly
picked out by Alana Munro.
Stanley nearly grabbed a hat-trick in some style when she saw the visiting keeper off her line, but her audacious effort
from 40 yards crashed into the side netting.
Harrigan made nine changes at the break, with goalkeeper Kenny Clarke and Reid the only ones to stay on – and it was
a similarly-dominant affair following the interval.
Trialist C scored the fifth just a minute after the restart, cannoning the ball off the underside of the crossbar following
Abbie Morris’s through-ball, and it was six when Emily Hill advanced before picking out the bottom corner with an
excellent strike from distance on 56 minutes.
Two minutes later, it was seven – this time Jess Leach getting in on the goalscoring action, converting the energetic Reid’s
delivery from the left.
The R’s kept pushing and it was 8-0 on 62 minutes when Melis Mehmet slid the ball home from 15 yards.
The scoring was completed when Leach grabbed her second of the match with 18 minutes remaining.
First Half: Clarke, Makowska, Trialist A, Lewin, Reid, Owen, Ali, D’Santos, Munro, Stanley, El-Bergui
Second Half: Clarke, Doyle, Trialist B, Wellesley-Davies, Reid, Hill, Blodgett, Mehmet, Morris, Leach, Trialist C''
