Welcome & good luck for the season....
From the Club...
'QPR Women have completed the signing of Jaime Gotch, who joins after leaving
Oxford United.
The 25-year-old centre-back came through at Reading before moving to Charlton ahead of the
2019/20 campaign, where she stayed for two years.
After then spending a season with Portsmouth, Gotch joined Oxford in the summer of 2022, staying
with The O’s for three years.
Throughout that time, she has played tier two and tier three football – now she is excited at a new
chapter with QPR Women who are targeting promotion to the third tier in the upcoming campaign.
“The facilities here are amazing,” she said.” Any club would be lucky to have the facilities we have
here – and I think that’s going to be a real driving force for us.
“The club has clear values and knows what they want to do with the Women's team. The aim is promotion.
Anything else, we'd be very disappointed with as a club.
“I'm really looking forward to it. It's a new challenge.”
QPR CEO Christian Nourry said: “We are delighted to have a player of Jaime’s calibre join us for the forthcoming
season.
“She adds to our defensive unit and brings a recognisable level of experience, talent and leadership from the tiers
above, which we have been targeting across the summer.
“From the start it was clear that Jaime wanted to be a part of a project, so naturally things began to align.
“It is very exciting that, as we approach the season, the squad is building in strength and depth.”
