Wrexham game

Difficult game to predict as it depends upon which QPR team turns up.
I think the run of 0-0 results will not continue and I think it will be a narrow Rs victory.

Hopefully all the talk will not be about the state of the pitch and the deafening silence
from the club in that respect has been disgraceful. No wonder it has produced so many
variations on a theme as to the reason for the sudden deterioration of the pitch.

Big money has gone on a trip to B&Q paint department by the groundsman and it will be
in a fetching shade of Verdant Green! :D

Difficult to see what else could have been done in two weeks with the current weather
but we shall see tomorrow.

Wonder how much could have been done to the pitch in a
short space of time?

Prefer to see Paul Smyth coming down the right than left. Better rate of crossing supply
and supported by Mbengue's attacking ability.

Need more midfield dynamic play. Maybe Kieran Morgan in from the start would help to get
the ball through to attackers. We stop ourselves from creating too often by choosing the safe
back pass rather than the adventurous breakthrough.

Wrexham seem to have quick enough players. We can't get caught racing back out of position.

Middlesbrough found us out repeatedly in that regard. Need to stay well organised at the back
and look to wing connections to move forward at pace.

Kone needs to be fed on the run. That's how he gets free and gets a shot away. Kolli and Morgan
can battle for shot-creating chances. Need to keep getting the half-chance supplied to let them
convert into scoring opportunities. Softly, softly wastes opportunities before we get a sniff of a shot.

We need to be more Dave Thomas and less Steve Davis. We have enough players capable of scoring
if we supply a flow of chances.

And somebody tell them to keep it under the bar. I believe that the number of snatched skied shots
is a result of desperation due to lack of opportunities. We need confidence to come from a healthy
supply feed.

If we play a dynamic game, no reason why it couldn't be
3-1 to the Rs.

Still in the hunt for top 6. Scoring 1 or 0 per game won't deliver. Got to be 2s and 3s. Keeping a
clean sheet is a waste if we can't score to take the win.

Wrexham are a bit over rated and we are at Home.

We could win this. Let's hope so

Had the better of Wrexham for 90 minutes.

Great score by Vale. We could have had one more for sure in first half.

Lost count of fouls on Smyth who worked intensely for the shirt as usual.

Equaliser and open game helped no end by succession of refereeing failures
very much falling for Wrexham's benefit.

Kone second to so many balls and should have been subbed early second half.

Open game but we were always moving and with enough pace and a reduced
amount of self-sabotage back passing.

Two one up and game closing with game management needed to see us out.

The injury time turnaround should never have been allowed to happen.

Travesty to come away empty handed after a good 90 minutes. Had the
beating of a lot of fouling and poor reffing. Should have closed the match out.

Great finish after the ball had come off the underside of the crossbar.

How many times did Mr Langford talk to Issa Kabore for his antics
in the box as we were attempting to take a corner

He committed a number of fouls throughout & I don't remember
him being yellow carded?

Wrexham began to grow into the game in the 2nd half but despite
that a well worked corner put us in front again on 80 minutes.

We couldn't kill the game off, a red card & two goals in the space
of a couple of minutes followed & that was that.

Unfortunately for us Walsh is an incompetent goalkeeper out of his
depth in the Championship, I don’t want to go overboard about Mbengue
but he is technically one of the worst players I’ve ever seen in a QPR shirt.

That is some feat considering the dross we’ve had over the years.

When you consider Cifuentes has just been handed his P45 at Leicester,
what else does Julien Stephan have to do to get his. I just don’t get his team
selections, tactics or substitutions, square pegs in round holes everywhere in
the team.

Mbengue playing right back is just baffling, he is erratic and an absolute bomb scare
in our defence. Personally I am delighted he is banned, he won’t be a liability in our
defence for a couple of games.

We have needed a natural right back for a few seasons now, not central defenders
or midfielders playing right back.

We need an upgrade in the goalkeeper and fullback positions.
