Good news, well done Teddy.
From the Club...

'Signing his first 𝗣𝗥𝗢 contract, U18s captain Teddy Tarbotton.

The 18-year-old - who joined Rangers in December 2020 following time with Hull City -
made his first-team debut during our EFL Cup tie at Plymouth Argyle in August.

A driven and hardworking individual who enjoys taking control of possession, Teddy
has also spent time on loan at both Bracknell Town and Farnborough this season.

"Honestly, I'm over the moon," he told www.qpr.co.uk. "I've been working towards
this for pretty much most of my life, so it's a very proud moment to sign my first
professional contract - but it's only the start.

"It's not been a smooth journey. There have definitely been ups and downs. But
over the five, six years I've been here, I think I've definitely progressed as a player -
and definitely as a person as well with the coaching staff and the players around me
helping me do that.

"There are loads of people I can mention - Tom Charles, who's been the Under-18s head
coach, definitely helps me both on and off the pitch.

"Andrew Impey as well. He's always been there for me, especially when I've not been
playing well. He's always there to lift me up, but when I am playing well, to tell me I've
played well."

Discussing how this season's loan spells have also aided his development, Teddy added:
"I've absolutely loved being on loan. I think it's such a different experience from academy
football. You learn different things. For example, it's a lot more physical playing against
bigger, stronger men.

"I've definitely learned to cope, which can help me coming back to QPR. I've really enjoyed
it."

After securing this first pro contract, Teddy's next target is clear. "Obviously I've been
working towards this for, like I said, most of my life," he said.

"But I've secured this contract and now all my focus is getting the second target, trying to
break into the first team. "My dream is to play first-team football."

QPR CEO Christian Nourry added: "It's with great pleasure that we announce the professional
contract signing of Teddy today.

"He has an athletic, all-action #8 profile who has enjoyed two very successful loan spells already
this season - first at Bracknell Town and then with Farnborough, demonstrating his adaptability,
work-ethic and ability to impose himself on matches."
