Done Steve

Same here in the Emerald Isle. Always a battle to protect heritage and culture for
next generations to enjoy as part of native identity and what makes the place what
it is.

A couple of visits ago we noticed that the Cookes wall sign had been repainted.
Are they still operating or something to appease those who care?

My understanding is that the building is protected & that
there is an office inside?

From local MP Joe Powell today.....
'We’ve already received over 3,000 signatures from local residents—as well as pie and mash
lovers from around the world—showing their support for Cockney’s and asking the landlord
to reconsider.

As we engage with the landlord and letting agent, the more local support we can evidence
the better!

Yesterday I took our campaign to Parliament, with a question to the Leader of the House about
how we can support this important part of our country’s heritage.'
