From the Club...
'QPR can confirm that Danny Harrigan has left his position as Women's head coach
to take up a role with the club's academy.
Harrigan - who has been involved with QPR for some 15 years across our women's and girls'
provision, and Community Trust - will transfer across to the academy as the club look to
use his expertise in readiness for our Category 1 application.
Danny was appointed head coach of QPR Women in 2024.
CEO Christian Nourry said: "Danny's expertise is clear and, as a club, we want to best utilise
this in line with our aspirations to hold a Category 1 academy.
"Danny is a big part of QPR who fully understands our club-wide ambitions, and we feel his s
trengths will be hugely important in our efforts to obtain Cat 1 status.
"It is an exciting time for every facet of the football club - including the women's team as
we continue to look to climb the pyramid.
"The search is already underway for Danny's successor to help us achieve that."
Harrigan added: "QPR has been such a massive part of my life and I want to thank the club for
giving me the opportunity to be part of a really exciting period ahead for the academy.
"It has also given me such pride to be our first-ever women's head coach as we strive to reach
the third tier of the pyramid.
"While I will now be serving the club in a different role, I will still be the girls' biggest supporter."
Further details regarding Danny's successor as Women's head coach will be communicated in
due course.
