The clear out begins

Post by Tommy Cunningham »

Lots of rumours doing the rounds tonight about more players departing the club, the names
being mentioned Cook, Hayden, Kolli, Hamer, Norrington-Davies (end of loan) and Nardi.

Norwich are also being linked with a permanent transfer for Sam Field, the only stumbling
block could be the fee according to Norwich manager Philippe Clement.

I fully expect some interest in Jimmy Dunne and I wouldn’t be surprised if he moved on.

I sincerely hope the club do not renew Jake Clarke-Salter’s contract, this player is just
never fit and has spent the majority of his time at QPR in the treatment room.
Time to move him on now.

Gonna be an interesting few weeks going forward.

From the Club...

PAUL Nardi, Ben Hamer and Isaac Hayden will leave QPR following the conclusion of
their contracts this summer.

Nardi, 31, played 63 times in total for QPR, taking the gloves for all but one of the R's
46 league games during his debut season in 2024/25.

The French shot stopper – who signed from Belgian side Gent – kept 13 clean sheets
during his two-year stay in W12.

Fellow-keeper Hamer initially joined the R’s on a short-term basis in September 2025,
before the 38-year-old’s stay was extended in January until the end of this season.

Hamer boasted an impressive record between the sticks, losing just one of his seven
games in goal.

Meanwhile, midfielder Hayden made 30 appearances in his second R’s spell.

The 31-year-old Jamaican – who spent four months on loan during the 2023/24 campaign –
rejoined Rangers last summer following his departure from Newcastle United.

CEO Christian Nourry said: "I want to thank Paul, Isaac and Ben for their contributions
whilst at the club.

"Paul is a player who immediately fell for the charm of MATRADE Loftus Road, the intensity
of our fans and made some important contributions in tricky times during the 2024/25
campaign.

"Ben came in this season and executed his role perfectly, training to such a high level that he
was able to obtain first-team minutes and contribute to some vital points obtained by the club
across November and December time.

"Finally, it was fantastic to work with Isaac again, who rejoined us in the summer after an initial
loan spell at the back end of the 2023/24 campaign. Isaac brought his professionalism, and
breaking-up-of-play qualities to our group in the campaign.

"On behalf of everyone at the football club, I wish these three players immense success in their
next adventures.”

Hoping that the summer window delivers us an improved squad with the skill, strength, speed and
commitment to compete with the best in the division.

Keeper situation is critical to improve on. Definitely need to add to physical presence across the
pitch. And need a group that can effectively link from defence to attack ensuring ample chances
for the right men to shoot.

Many possible goals were lost by not being incisive in attack when we had the chance --- and by
speculative wasted shots taken when strikers should have been fed. Not to mention our penchant
for skying shots over the bar --- technique and composure could have had many more on-target
attempts.

Capable teams could work out and exploit our defensive vulnerabilities. Must be much more
capable individually and robust collectively.

Plenty of change afoot.
