1-5 Defeat for the Development Squad on Friday..

I knew that the Development Squad had lost 1-5 v Southampton on Friday, Sammy has now
told me that Charlie Street was sent off in the 14th minute when we were 1-0 up.

'We started poorly but scored on the break. Charlie held a guy going through on goal.
Was it a clear goal scoring position? The ref said it was and immediately produced a red.
In my opinion it was harsh.
It ruined the match too. Southampton had a more aggressive experienced team than us but I
had hoped we could have thwarted them
We were soon 2-1 down and it was 3-1 by halftime
We almost got a goal back at the start of the 2nd half but then Southampton got a 4th
Our lads never gave up.'

Was this a premier league cup group stage fixture?
What is our current standing in our OWN group of Blackburn Bolton Southampton and QPR?

As it stands Bernard, all four teams have played three games...
a. Southampton - 7pts
b. Blackburn - 4pts
c. QPR - 3pts
d. Bolton - 2 pts
