Palace Yesterday...

Post by Steve Russell »

Got down to the Box Office early to pick up a couple of Charlton tickets.

Dieng, Kakay, Dickie, Clarke-Salter, Paal, Stefan, Field,
Dozzell, Uncle Albert, Chair, Dykes

Subs Not Used: Walsh, Hamalainen, Drewe,

Ebere Eze not noted pre-match but when he appeared he got a good welcome from R's fans.
He opened the scoring on 28 mins with a shot that bent late & went in via the inside of the post.

Palace pretty much dominated the possession in the early stages & there was little
on target from either side.

Lyndon looked very frustrated upfront & have to say we didn't really get going.

Wilfried Zaha scored with a dipping 25-yarder, which may have taken a slight deflection en route to goal,
at the School End in front of a number of their Ultras all dressed in black t-shirts

Macauley Bonne came on, & I would loved to have seen Sinclair Armstrong join him, rather than
the 12 mins or so he got later

Introduced later were Jimmy Dunne, Mide Shodipo, who made an instant impact, George Thomas who
never stopped running.

Eze MOM, can't see him staying at Palace for much longer.

Att: 5,500 something....

Thanks to everyone that bought badges off me....

Still not keen on our combination of front players/Strikers. The are not nearly as good as Austin and Gray.
We will struggle here I reckon.
