Charlton Last Night.....

Post by Steve Russell »

In front of a large R's turnout that packed the away end, it was the home side
that looked the more dangerous.

Their keeper was hardly troubled in the 1st half & our full-backs were unable to prevent
most of the crosses into the box, but Jimmy Dunne was superb again & my MOM.
He also provided an outstanding block.

Love Uncle Albert but I think he can make a bigger impact when he comes off the bench.
Sinclair Armstrong got a big ovation when he came on & did very well.

Great goal on 80 mins in front of the Rangers fans but we can't kill a game off.

Generally awful with our crosses, knocked in too short or too long & on one occasion Dozzell fired
over a cross at a 100mph

Mick Beale was honest again post-match & looked very frustrated liked the rest of us.

Nowhere good enough...

Good to see Jimmy Dunne back in the team, I doubt very much he would have been selected if Clarke-Salter had been fit.

Don’t think Beale is a fan.
