Prior to kick-off, wreaths were laid on the centre circle which was
followed by a a minutes silence & the tribute was concluded with a
rousing 'God Save the King.'

The visitors had the ball in the net early on but it was ruled out for offside.
And Stoke hit the top of the crossbar from a free kick.

Ahead of another Stoke free kick, Aden Flint stood right in front of Seny & mimicked
him every time he moved left & right to get a view. The big No,4 eventually
took up a different position.

Just before the break, Stefan forced Joe Bursik into making a flying save

Thought the 1st half was a bit scrappy at times....

We pretty much dominated the 2nd half, but that said Seny made a superb save
from Aden Flint's header in the 88th minute & they had a big shout for a penalty.

Play was halted on 70 minutes as players & fans broke into applause in memory
of Queen Elizabeth,,,

The Stoke fans were all situated in the top tier but I thought the attendance
was more than 14,174 :?:

We ended the day in 6th spot....

Sadly the 0-0 result was a bit of a let down. The bottom line is we failed to beat a mediocre
Stoke City team at home along with a general sub standard performance as well.

You can argue quite rightly that it is much too early to make end of season predictions
but never the less here goes....

We will not lay a glove on Norwich, Sheffield United or Burnley. They are far better than us.

There is a decent chance of making a top six finish provided we find a a solution to the
striker problem. Otherwise forget it.

The strikers we currently have on our bookswould have trouble getting into a League One side.

Austin and Gray where art thou? :(
