West Brom Yesterday...

Post by Steve Russell »

Prior to kick-off the players (from both sides) who had lost their lives
during two World Wars were honoured.

West Brom started off on the front-foot & had two very good chances in
the 1st 15 mins to take the lead. Diangana shot wide of the post from just yards
out & soon after a close-range header somehow evaded the goal.

So many mis-placed passes!!

We gradually began to grow into the game & Lyndon's superb volley
was well-saved, There was only to be one more effort on target.

Tim had a very good 1st half.

The visitors scored from a free kick following a rash challenge just
outside the box.

I expected nothing else.
I'd have been happy with a draw.
Same old Rangers, always do the underdogs a favour!
I dread playing teams in the bottom 3.

It has been obvious to me since the very start of the season that all the so called strikers
we have on the books are inept at this level and that is putting it kindly.

This is such a shame because the lack of a proper spearhead is undermining the teams
other good qualities.

I have always said that the decision taken to get rid of both Austin and Gray before
the arrival of Beale at the club was a bad error of Judgement

I found the decision to play Balogun in front of Dunne baffling, if Dunne was fit enough
to sit on the bench he was fit enough to start the game.

Not a fan of Balogun and thought the club could have recruited a better defender, I thought
he was very weak and got bullied by Bartley for the WBA goal. Hopefully Dunne
will start against Huddersfield.
