Fleetwood Yesterday - SHOCKING is an understatement!!!

Two coaches left the ground at 7am for the 5 hour-ish trip to Fleetwood.
Met up with Bernard (Kerrins) outside the away end.

Why two goalkeepers on the bench, why not play our 1st choice full-backs
& why no Sinclair Armstrong as it was the perfect time to start him upfront
with Lyndon Dykes??????

The home side started on the front-foot & really should have scored in the
opening 10 mins or so when the ball was put wide from around six yards!!!

Sam Field scrambled the ball in the net from close range following Ilias Chair's
free kick being knocked on by Lyndon Dykes.

However, just 3 mins later, Fleetwood equalised when their unmarked player
scored with a close-range header at the near-post.

Early after the break the home side missed another absolute sitter & not surprisingly
went on to take the lead.

It wasn't until the 80th minute that Sinclair Armstrong & co. were introduced

Andre Dozzell was largely anon. but I do recall when he did get into a good position
just outside the box, instead of shooting he tapped the ball forward to a team mate
under pressure & it all came to nothing!

Seny made some vg saves, but any positive from the game?.....NO.

Chloe Kelly was at the match, God knows what she thought of it

Seems like we may well have already lost the game prior to kick-off...

This from Ian McCullough for West London Sport...
R’s boss Critchley, who made three changes to the side that drew with
Sheffield United earlier this week, was seething at the performance and
admitted he feared the worst following a poor training session on Thursday
before the team made the long journey to the Fylde Coast on Friday.

“I suspected that when I came into the club having watched from afar and today
has confirmed what I was worried about,” he said.

“It was a bewildering performance and not acceptable for this football club.

“If we are going to accept mediocrity then we are going to get performances like
that on a regular basis. It has to change.

“Thursday’s training session concerned me and I told the group that."

Thursday's training session concerned him!!!!!

Attendance 3.151, including around 1,000 R's fans...

There seems little point in having a Manager if players fail to play to orders or
chose to ignore warnings before and during the game.
Overpaid and no incentive to perform unfortunately.

Get Clint Hill and Sean Derry in as assistant managers.
They would concentrate their minds!

I am absolutely astonished to read what Neil Critchley said about Thursday’s training
session, who on earth do these players think they are.

Obviously no respect for the manager already or the coaches who were only
employed a month ago, zero respect for the club or supporters and they are an
absolute disgrace.

Neil Critchley already has a crisis on his hands after a month, now is the time
for the people running the club to intervene and address this mess.

If these big time “Charlies” don’t wanna be at QPR, then git rid of the
f——-g lot of them.

Overrated, overpaid, pampered tossers.

It is also worrying that certain of our players are underperforming big time.
Funny that this coincides with much paper talk that Beale is interested in
signing some of our players.

Purely coincidentally he is quoted as having spoken to a couple of players willing
to join him. :|

It was really good to meet up with Steve R. at the game.
Shame about the result and performance.

Sadly rubbish up front as per usual (been that way since day one) and
this combined with too many defensive errors sealed our fate.

In the first half we did have a lot of the ball but alas failed to take
proper advantage.

Why is it that every single team we play seem to have better strikers
out on the pitch :?:

Why is it that all opposition front players no matter who look far more
dangerous and more likely to score that our duds :?:

Before a ball was kicked this season I said that over the hill Austin and Gray
were STILL SUPERIOR than all the other strikers we had on the clubs books.

Right now I regard that opinion as fact not conjecture.
That's how bad the problem is up front

And your bus back to Preston broke down Bernard!!!

Short stop at the Services on the way back & bumped into
the Accrington Stanley fans again.
I got home at 10.40pm....

I don’t know if I’ve missed it but I was hoping the internet would be full
of profuse apologies from the so called team that managed to get on the
field and that was about all on Saturday.

One aspect to add to the mountain of criticism justifiably hurled at the sorry excuse
for footballers is the half time way the subs (euphemism for sunk without trace)
spend their time.

I’ve often watched in amazement how the so called professionals
stand around chatting and doing anything to avoid anything remotely like
stretching or warming up until it is time to sit down again to slumber
the match away.

Professionalism at it best! Where are our coaches at such times?
