Well, more of a piss-up than a party, but you're all invited.
See, it's my birthday this Saturday - eh? what's that?? how old am I???

None of your business; let's just say I'm younger than kerrins or ESSEX.
Mind you, who isn't??!!!

I'll be having a get-together with some old school friends & I thought it'd be nice to see some of you lot.
Some of you I've met, others, it'd be nice to put a face to the name.
We're meeting at The Plough & Harrow pub, Hammersmith King St., this Sat. from 6 o'c.
It's a Wetherspoons pub, so cheap booze & food.
Would be great to see some of you there.......

Last time in there was before the FA Cup Final reunion at the Lyric Theatre.
Good boozer with decent prices...

A very old pub stood on the site but a new one was built in 1903.
It closed in 1960 & became a car showroom, which was due for demolition
in 2002.

But due to local protests the facade was kept & installed into the
new building.

That's right, I remember it selling luxury cars - I always liked to look thru
the windows at the Rollers etc!
Then, in the 70's, it had a giant-sized Scalextric track, you could go in & pay to drive on it.
Great fun.
