Pre-season

Post by ESSEXURs »

I just hope we do not let other clubs take all the best players available and leave us
to take our usual crop of sicknotes.

If we are dabbling in the market hopefully it will be sooner rather than later and when we
have been busy pre-season matches become far more interesting.

However as usual I’m not holding my breath.

Who do we fancy for the pre-season friendlies?
I'd like us to get Glasgow Rangers down LR, so we can give Mr. Loyalty & Integrity the
warm welcome back that he so richly deserves.

Wayne Slob will do well to still be manager of that mob in Glasgow in pre-season,
I wouldn’t be surprised if they asked him to take his “integrity and respect” elsewhere
before then. Now that would be a good pre-season.

Talking about playing The Phoney Rangers in a pre-season......
I remember the time that we did. I was on holiday with the family, and we were due
back on that day, but too late for me to get to the match.
I wanted to travel back on my own (it wasn't too far, Selsey Bill if my memory serves),
but my Mum wasn't having it - said something like she didn't want me at a game with "them
Scottish hooligans"
Of course, that was the time Rodney was fouled & the red mist came over him.
I'd probably have been on the pitch.
