Re: Niko Hamalainen's Contract Terminated by Mutual Consent..
How our ex DOF gave Nico Hamalainen a 4 year contract beggars belief, this signing was one
of the worst I can ever remember. Now that does take some doing considering the dross previously
brought to the club, Les Ferdinand managed to do it and gave him this contract.
Giving Hamalainen that length of contract, totally epitomized Ferdinand as DOF at QPR.
Shocking, incompetent and out of his depth.

Chris Hewitt comment on Indy's Facebook group...
4 months after being handed that 4 year contract he fell out with Warburton and was told
to train with the kids. He has literally sat on his arse for 3 years and made about 5 appearances
for the reserves in that time , in 3 years he has played about 20 games in total all over the world.
He has certainly stolen a living but the blame lies with whoever gave him that 4 year contract. He certainly
didn’t deserve one year.
At a time when regular players weren’t being offered such long contracts.
He’s not very good either and will probably disappear.

All too easy to do, in the modern game.

Can't just terminate a player's contract these days, without paying him off.
The pendulum has swung too far in the players' favour -
if you were that bad, in any other job, you'd have a (small) number of warnings,
then you'd be sacked. With no pay-off.

Re: Niko Hamalainen's Contract Terminated by Mutual Consent..
Steve the issue here is Hamalainen didn’t have necessary talent or ability to play for QPR,
to actually award a 4 year contract to a player of this standard bordered on madness.
Unfortunately as has been said by many of our supporters, the ex DOF got this decision wrong
along with many other decisions during his 8 years in office.
That is why in my opinion he is our ex DOF thank god, totally out of his depth and along with
Hamalainen stole a living out of QPR for 8 years.

True, Tommy; the real mistake was taking him on in the first place.
