Carabao

Post by Conor Campbell »

Looks like we will be concentrating our efforts on the league campaign.

What highlights would you take from this game any of you who saw it?

The winning goal in the 9th added minute was at the School End & haven't
watched it back.

Lyndon Dykes was on the end of a very heavy challenge & after
receiving some attention, he slowly limped around the perimeter of the pitch.
Will he be available for Saturday?

The word was that Charlie Kelman has signed for Orient?

Absolutely gutted, but, yes, there were actually many positives.
The players gave 110% & I'm particularly proud of some of the youngsters,
Rayan Kolil, Alex Aoraha & Stephen Duke-McKenna etc

And a champagne moment came when Elijah Dixon-Bonner, spun round, nutmegged an
opponent & the ball went on to a team mate :D

Paul Smyth was purchasing/collecting merchandise from the Club Shop.
Outside I saw Paul Parker, Marcus Bean, Mark Devlin & Nick Blackburn.....

Now saying the strong Kelman rumours are not true. Much was on Orient message boards last night
with mixed views on his signing!
Watched the goal on TV and the usual poor marking from crosses gave the goalkeeper Walsh no chance.
Only one shot on target for the home side is appalling.

From Football League World

QPR striker Charlie Kelman is part of Gareth Ainsworth's plans for the season "until he's told otherwise"
and was missing from the squad for Wednesday evening's Carabao Cup defeat as he had been
"rotated out of the squad", the R's boss has claimed.

Had every intention of making this game, but glad I didn't;
got caught up in the WWC celebrations, 'had a few' & didn't fancy the long day
that an evening kick-off means. Good old Lionesses!

Yes - one shot by home team is weak. Plus the Lyndon injury will surely see GA capture a couple
of forwards whilst window allows.

The league cup run may be over but the double is still on!

Lionesses have a great chance to win WWC. Would be great to see them succeed.

It'd be fantastic, Conor - especially if Kelly comes on & scores the winner!
