'Yes I was there the Swindon manager Bert Head ,had the snow rolled flat on the pitch then covered
it with sand and his players wore the above foot wear ,
And of course instead of the ref, Mr Hough looking at the pitch and abandoning the game he let it go ahead
Q P R were doing very well in the league at the time ,but it was impossible for them to play in REAL football boots .'
