Good luck for the future. From the Club:
'KENNETH Paal will leave QPR following the expiry of his contract this summer.
The 27-year-old left back joined the R’s in June 2022 and has featured regularly during the last three campaigns.
The Suriname international made 130 appearances for the Super Hoops in all competitions, scoring six times.
Amongst his goals, Paal will fondly be remembered for a crucial injury-time leveller against Huddersfield Town in
January 2024 as we battled against the Terriers for Championship survival.
Paal moves on with fond memories of his time at the club, saying: “From day one, I enjoyed every moment.
“The people at the club as well as my team-mates helped me and my family, and I will always be thankful.
“There were tough moments but my time with QPR made me a better person and a better player.
“I became a father here and my little one was born in London, so this will always be a special place and time for me.
It was a life-changing period.”
Reflecting on his favourite memories from his time with Rangers, Paal said: “As a team, winning against Burnley and
Stoke in my first season to stay up was incredible.
“And scoring against Huddersfield at home was special. It was a very important goal but I still don’t know how I did it!”
Paal also had strong words of praise for the QPR supporters, adding: “The fans have been unbelievable.
“I always felt their support at Loftus Road and at the away games, too. Even in the tough games and moments,
they were there.
“I want to thank them for cheering my name. I had my own song at QPR, I have never had that before so thank you
very much for everything you gave to me.”
CEO Christian Nourry said: “Ken’s a gentleman, someone who exudes calm and that has positively impacted other
players throughout his time here.
"I’ve very much enjoyed watching him - technically, he’s delivered some marvellous moments in a QPR shirt.
"Whilst we are going our separate ways contractually, the Club will continue to support Ken in whatever way he
wishes as he searches for his next adventure.”
