Fran Ali Joins the QPR Women Squad......

Post by Steve Russell »

Told that she is a very good player.
Welcome to the R's & good luck....

'FRAN Ali has joined QPR Women ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The 32-year-old midfielder will add experience as well as quality to Danny Harrigan’s squad.

Ali spent the early stages of her career with Millwall, Charlton, Crystal Palace and Leyton Orient before joining
Watford in 2020.

She remained with the Hornets for three years, which included a successful promotion and season in the Championship,
prior to a move to AFC Wimbledon.

With the Dons, Ali again achieved promotion, helping her new side win the Division One South East title to move into
the third tier.

Last season, Ali spent time with Hashtag United, who finished second in the Southern Premier Division (third tier).

After agreeing a switch to QPR, Ali said: “I'm so excited.

“QPR is a club that is rich in history and success. When the opportunity came along for me to come and play for QPR,
there is no way I wouldn’t take it.

“I'm looking forward to putting on the shirt and representing the club.

“I'm a very experienced player. I've played at various levels in the Women's pyramid, so I think I can add value to
the team.”

Ali admits the efforts being put into the Women’s side at QPR had a big impact on her decision to join, explaining:
“A lot of dedication has been put into the team so it is the perfect environment for me to be involved in.”

As she looks ahead to her debut season with the R’s, Ali is ambitious about what can be achieved.

“This season is about making a statement,” she said. “We've got such a good group of players - I've played against a lot
of them - so I know that there's a lot of quality here and there's no reason why we shouldn't be competing at the top end
of the table.”

CEO Christian Nourry said: "Fran joins with incredible experience across the tiers of Women’s football and her talent will
offer great value to the team.

"Having personnel that have lived the experiences of playing in higher divisions supports our ambition for this season, and
the journey we intend for this team.

"We are very excited to welcome Fran and bring her in as part of this football club."
