Good luck Lucas. From the Club...
'LUCAS Andersen will leave QPR following the expiry of his contract at the end of this month.
The attacking midfielder joined Rangers in February 2024 from AaB Aalborg and had a key role to play as the club
maintained its Championship status in 2023/24.
Andersen made 51 appearances for QPR in all competitions, scoring three goals – including the second in our 4-0 home
victory against Leeds in April 2024 and a stunning injury-time winner at Preston two months ago.
“QPR has been one of the best places I’ve been as a whole - my team-mates, fans, stadiums and the football heritage
is unmatched,” Andersen said.
“It’s always been my goal to not only be remembered as the footballer but also a good human being.
“My family have loved every second of living in London. And we are definitely coming back.”
Reflecting on one of his favourite moments during his time with us, Andersen said: “One of my greatest memories on pitch
was the Leeds game at home - that energy, an evening game, lights on and electric stands. That's football!”
Along with Jimmy Dunne, Andersen set up what came to be known as the West London Coffee Club, and he added:
“The OG Chisy Coffee Club will split up - but will never be forgotten.
“WLCC over and out!”
CEO Christian Nourry said: "Lucas played a critical role in our remaining an EFL Championship club in the 2023/24
campaign.
"He is a wonderful person and a skilful #10, who has given us some iconic moments such as his goal in the win over
Leeds at MATRADE Loftus Road and the more recent late winner at Preston.
"He and his beautiful family will always be welcome back at QPR.”
